Nominate a Crusader

Do you know someone who has an amazing crusader story? Maybe they fought and won a major appeal, battled for healthcare rights for their children, or worked within the system to achieve another incredible outcome. We want to share their story and what you learned by watching them. Nominate them here. MyCrusaderNomination@GabbyCrusader.com

If you know one of these incredible people, give them a shout out on our site by sending us their story at ProviderCrusaderNomination@GabbyCrusader.com

Crusader Success Story

In 1999, 7-year-old Jaden was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer that was inoperable. She was evaluated as having only an 8% chance of survival and given 3 months to live. The approved medical approach for her tumor was not very effective but nothing else had been approved by the FDA for children…. She wasn’t eligible for the one drug that might give her a chance. And even if they could get her into the study, they had to worry about whether state social services would step in and take control of her care. This is their story….

What People Are Saying

"Right now, it's projected that premiums for families with health insurance -- not people without health insurance, but with health insurance -- will almost certainly double over the next decade, just as they doubled over the past decade."
- President Obama

"In 2008, about 750,000 bankruptcies were filed. About 70 percent of those bankruptcies were filed because of health care costs. Eighty percent of the people who filed for bankruptcy because of health care costs had health insurance. America is the only country in the world where if you get sick or hurt, you’re going to have file for bankruptcy."
- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid
